Thomas' musical interest started with a passion for violin playing at the age of five and was continued after finishing school, when he moved into band recording in Berlin's post wall era. Here, he got in touch with film sound design and has never turned his back on it. He is one of the founding members of Rotor Film and involved in the supervision and sound design of the vast majority of projects today.

Whenever the situation calls for it, he will use synthesizers and samplers in his process and explore the area where score ends and sound design begins.
